Two rogue hip hop mutants from the Milwaukee based vigilante collective, House of Mutants, have combined powers to mold a dynamic new record in hopes to heal the rotting ears of planet Earth. MC A.P.R.I.M.E. and producer Trellmatic, better known as AUTOmatic, aim to protect and serve hip hop listeners by following the House of Mutants creed, which is to: protect & preserve an artform/culture that seemingly fears what is different & original...Instead of "sticking to the script" by today's musical standards, the goal of the House of Mutants is to make GREAT music while remaining creative & uncompromising to the expired trends, styles, & sounds that continue to plague Hip-Hop today.
After listening to AUTOmatic's debut album, Transistor, it's safe to say that Dr. Wacktagon and his evil swagged out henchmen don't stand a chance.
Instead of x-ray vision or the ability to read minds, Trellmatic and A.P.R.I.M.E. rely on their musical mutant muscle to defeat foes. Trellmatic's ability to hypnotize listeners with his ambrosial atmospheres mixed with A.P.R.I.M.E.'s arsenal of witty word weaponry make the duo almost impossible to stop and improbable to stop listening to.
There will always be evil looming in Industry City; another crime to solve, vengeance to be had. But what's most important-- after the bloated clouds of fight dust disappear into the moon and the bodily wreckage gets removed by street sweepers following an epic sound battle-- is that us fans still have heroes at the end of the day. The ones that fight the good fight, keep the balance of power, and keep what we love real.
