Notes: Rumors of a Sheek Louch & Ghostface Killah full length LP are swirling; however, this track is from one of Carmelo Anthony's artists, Diego Cash, off his latest mix tape Become Legendary.

Notes: First leak from Talib's forthcoming album, Gutter Rainbows, set to release January 25th. The album will be available in digital format only in the US but available in all formats abroad. "Cold Rain" features production from 2010's producer of the year candidate, Ski Beatz.

Download: AZ- Gimme Yours ft. Josh Xantus (produced by Statik Selektah)
Notes: Whyyyyyyyyyy?! But I still got love for AZ.

Notes: An 8thw1 track off the 2 Hungry Bros’ upcoming project, Back For Seconds, which drops March 15th. This side project is to help promote their upcoming album with 8thw1 entitled, No Room For Dessert, which is supposedly 8thw1's final project.

Notes: This was actually released on January 28th, but I didn't get to it until the 31st. Never the less, peep this banging 8-bit blasted cut from DJ KO's latest Living Out a State of Mind Vol. 3 release.

Notes: See above. 

Download: Diamond District- Who I Be ft. Marco Polo
Notes: One of my top 3 favorite new generation producers pours in his own ingredients into the already tasty Diamond District track from their 2009 release. 

Download: Cyne- Plain English
Notes: (Via KevinNottingham) “Plain English” is a dope new track from Cise Star, Akin, Enoch & Speck that will be featured on their new album coming later this year. In addition to this, Cise Star will be releasing a collaboration track with QN5’s Substantial, although no release date is set at this time. 

Download: The Gent$- Snake Skin Tie
Notes: First leak off of The Gent$' (Wes Restless, Pugz Atomz, and Ill Legit) upcoming street album. If you all see this, put me back on the press list, Wes!

Download: Basic Vocab- What They Want
Notes: Another leak off the upcoming April release, A Better Way.

Download: P.SO- Incredible (Soundmen Remix) ft. Homeboy Sandman, 8thw1, and Fresh Daily
Notes: The artist formerly known as Picasso drops the first leak from his upcoming Moontones record, which will drop February 24th.

Download: Taiyamo Denku - Lightbulb (feat. Mainflow)
Notes: One of my favorite tracks off of Taiyamo Denku's 2010 release, Articles of Mind. The MC has a real interesting voice. A free release came with the album called, Lost Thoughts, if you want to find that to get a taste.

Notes: Really looking forward to their record, especially considering this track is a "leftover" and not an actual album cut. Yowzaz. Doesn't Kurupt sound like a Royce 59 doppleganger on this, though?

Notes: San Diego MC wears out the overdone instrumental.

Notes: One of the worst MC names in hip hip history. Here is a track from his free Project Mooncircle EP, Let Me Introduce.

Blog Buzz (The Return!) [Jan. 3rd- 10th]

That's right, Blog Buzz returns! And what a week to return on considering the amount of DOPE independent hip hop singles that dropped. I'm incredibly excited about 2010 and this first week and a half of hip hop is making me feel might comfortable in being so. Below are some of the hottest tracks to be released this past week:

January 3rd- January 10th

Download: Freddie Gibbs- Crushin' Feelings 

Notes: I liked the guy before, but now I got nothing but love after he released this record. My favorite leaked single from him so far. An artist that should be a neon balloon on everyone's rap radar.

Download: JoJo Pellegrino- Triple Homicide ft. Sean Price & Inspectah Deck
Notes: Anyone remember JoJo's old track "Badabing"? I had low expectations when I saw he was popping back up on the internet, but there is no denying this banger, despite the fact it's obvious who carries it.

Download: DJ KO- Run & Fun ft. East, Chaundon, and Finale
Notes: A b-side attached to DJ KO's third leaked single "Wut I Do" off his Living Out A State of Mind Pt. 2 EP.

Notes: Coming at you this December, producer Damu the Fudgemunk will be releasing an EP entitled, Kilawatt V1, a 6 track EP that is comprised of mostly instrumentals, but also features Raw Poetic of Panacea on a few jams.

Download: Open Mike Eagle- Everybody's Birthday
Notes: One of my favorite tracks off The Philaflava Project. 

Download: Buff1, Diz Gibran, & Shawn Jackson- The Best Are Full of Love

Notes: The song was originally recorded by Shawn Jackson for The New Classics Mixtape, but wasn't used. In a recent session, we decided to revive the track with new verses from Buff1 x Diz and release it. The song will be featured on the new Buff1 project, 'It's a 1derful Life' as well as Shawn Jackson's mixtape coming soon.  

Download: Sene- Departure Time 
Notes:In follow up to his recently released LP A Day Late & A Dollar Short with Blu, Brooklyn based Sene partners up with South Florida producer Numonics for “Departure Time”. The duo prepare you for take off with this new track which features a rich orchestral feel and the smooth nature flow that Sene is known for. “Departure Time” is featured on Numonics’ upcoming release Being Cool Doesn’t Pay The Bills which will be mixed by none other than DJ RTC of Ruby Hornet.

In addition to Sene, the album boasts features by Donny Goines, QuESt, Co$$, Butta Verses, Monsters Ink and more. Being Cool Doesn’t Pay The Bills is presented by IM KING and will be released for free in January 2010.

Notes: Another leak off of Montezuma’s Revenge, their first album in almost a decade. The album, to be released on December 1st, will be produced by the world renowned, Prince Paul.

Download: Portable Playback- I Should
Notes: One of the good tracks from Soup (Jurassic 5) and Marc7's self titled album under the moniker, Portable Playback. Album is out now.

Download: The Clipse- Door Man
Notes: Banging track from all my hometown hip hop heroes from Virginia, The Clipse and The Neptunes, off The Clipse's upcoming album, Til The Casket Drops, hitting stores December 8th.

Download: Madlib & Guiltly Simpson- The Paper
Notes: Madlib is launching the Madlib Medicine Show, a once-a-month, twelve-CD, six-LP series. The Madlib Medicine Show will be a combination of Madlib's new hip-hop productions, remixes, beat tapes, and jazz, as well as mixtapes of funk, soul, Brazilian, psych, jazz and other undefined forms of music from the Beat Konducta's 4-ton* stack of vinyl.

Madlib Medicine Show No. 1 is Before The Verdict featuring Guilty Simpson, a 17-track album mixing remixes and new material, something of a prelude to Madlib & Guilty Simpson's forthcoming OJ Simpson album.

Notes: Blueprint & Illogic are back at it again teasing the world wide web with a new leak from their upcoming EP, Electric Purgatory, which will be released November 24th via Weightless Records. The first in a two part series that will be available for free download. A CD version (accompanied with instrumentals and a poster) will then be made available for purchase at weightless.net.
